Setting Comfort Level

Once you are on the Referee List, you can login and set your referee comfort level. This is used to determine which games are appropriate for your level of experience. Click on Edit Information, and select the highest level of play characteristics (gender, age, and play level) that you are very confident with. If you are not sure what to set, consult with your Referee Coordinator.

The system will assign you a strength rating based on your input. This rating is compared with the difficulty of a game when assignments are made. See Referee Strength to find out more about the strength system.

You can also enter comments that will be helpful to the Referee Coordinator, such as availabilty, travel restrictions, etc. All of the information you enter is visible only to the Referee Coordinator(s) and League Administrator for your league.

If your league uses either the Request/Confirm or Self-Assign option, you can only request or self-assign to games that are within your comfort zone. The Referee Coordinator, however, is free to assign you to any game in the league. The Referee Coordinator can also enter a different comfort level for you, which overrides your entry.

If neither you nor the Referee Coordinator enter comfort levels for you, then you are free to request or self-assign to any game in the league.
